Semudahitu is a Mini ERP web platform developed to support small and medium-sized businesses in managing their operations with greater ease and clarity. The system provides core business features, including:
Inventory Management
Shipping & Tracking
Financial Reporting
Business Strategy Planning Tools
As the UI/UX Designer on this project, my role was to craft an experience that made complex ERP functions feel simple and accessible — true to the brand’s name, Semudahitu, which means “just that simple.”
The main design challenge was to balance simplicity with functionality, ensuring that users — even those without a technical background — could navigate and utilize the system efficiently across devices.
Design Process
1. Empathize
🔍 User Research
Conducted user interviews and usability reviews on the current website
Identified key pain points and uncovered user frustrations in navigating inventory, shipping, and financial reports
Gathered insights on what features users actually needed vs. what was rarely used
✅ Outcome: A clear understanding of real user problems and expectations
2. Define
🗂 Grouping User Needs & Aligning with Business Goals
Organized user pain points into categories (e.g., navigation, clarity, reporting usability)
Facilitated a brainstorming session with the product owner
Prioritized needs based on user urgency and business impact
✅ Outcome: A problem statement and list of prioritized features to focus on for the redesign
3. Ideate
🧠 Sketching Ideas & Rapid Wireframing
Explored different layout approaches to simplify navigation and surface the most-used features
Created low-fidelity wireframes to visualize possible solutions and test information flow early
Shared early ideas with stakeholders for fast feedback
✅ Outcome: Agreed wireframe layout that addressed top pain points
4. Prototype
🎨 High-Fidelity Design
Developed full UI screens with real content and branding
Designed consistent components, tables, and layouts across pages (e.g. Inventory, Shipping, Reports)
Ensured mobile responsiveness and visual clarity
✅ Outcome: Complete and interactive high-fidelity mockups, ready for validation and development
5. Test (Ongoing)
Shared design with internal users for feedback
